Head of Residential

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, SEN professional to work with the College Principal to lead the residential provision for a College.

The Head of College Residential will support the College Principal to lead and develop the residential

provision for the College which serves young people with Autism and complex learning needs

including SEMH. This will include the management of team houses and a Shared Lives scheme,

supporting student admissions into the provision and increasing the student residential offer.

You will bring an additional degree of structure and transparency to the management of the college by formalising communication structures between the Residential and Educational teams and act as a Safeguarding Officer, supporting the College's Designated Safeguarding Lead.

To be able to undertake this role you must be able to demonstrate substantial experience of working

with students with SEN and complex behavioural needs and leading a provision and staff team within the CQC and Ofsted legislative framework towards excellence. You will be able to work flexibility and be part of a duty rota for out of hours management.

In addition, you must have an up-to-date knowledge of the legislative frameworks which impact on this 24-hour provision; be adaptable, highly flexible and show initiative with high levels of emotional

intelligence and personal resilience.

In return we offer significant personal development opportunities to work within a holistic organisation that is complex and growing on a national scale, the satisfaction to significantly improve the lives of young people and their families. We offer the opportunity to undertake a Masters level qualification developed by RMT and continually take part in CPD opportunities to develop your practice.
